STORIES FROM THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES

Lee Ann Potter - NARA
Lee Ann Potter

As the Head of Education and Volunteer Programs for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Lee Ann Potter helps connect U.S. teachers and students with the historical documents that define our national experience. Working with educators across the United States, she develops lesson plans, curriculum units, and teaching activities that enable students to study historical documents first-hand as a complement to the learning they obtain from secondary sources.

Ms. Potter gave this fascinating presentation as the annual keynote address for Savannah's Teaching American History Grant Program st the Coastal Georgia Center on Thursday, May 1, 2008.
