Giant Leaps for Mankind investigates post-war America including the Cold War, the Civil Rights Movement, and the development of twentieth century technologies. This program examines the twentieth-century apotheosis of the eighteenth-century experiment that was American democracy, exposing its challenges and celebrating its triumphs. American ingenuity is emphasized through the examination of twentieth-century leaders in politics, science, and the arts.

Our featured speaker, Dr. Jeff Gall is an associate professor of history and MAE (master of arts in education) director for social science at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.
