The Age of Enlightenment

The Age of American Enlightenment, focusing on the Founding Generation and Revolutionary Period, highlights the unique nature of the men and women who laid the bedrock on which American democracy has flourished in the ensuing two centuries. It includes close examination of biographical details of leading figures, first-hand exploration of the founding documents, and inquiry into the philosophical, scientific, and technological advances which justify this period’s label of American Enlightenment.
